graphic designer kat sheldon approached me about making a lamp out of an old speaker acquired by her boyfriend, pete; she wanted the exterior of the speaker to be completely preserved; after carefully removing the interior of the speaker, I was able to integrate an inline dimmer from a cord set into the tiny housing of the volume switch to activate the 10W bulb I had placed within the speaker housing
